The Hand of God (1898)
The powerful hand of God who shaped two figures and gave new life to Adam and Eve as an embracing, sensual couple. It is also symbolic image of the artist who invents a world.
The play of shadow and light and the subtle combination of perfectly smooth with non finito passages, plus the deliberately marks of the tools, make The Hand of God a particularly expressive work.
